Professional Qualifications:

Mr. Conder has over 30 years of natural gas engineering and operations experience. He provides
engineering design, construction management and regulatory compliance services to SGE’s clients
who include: municipal gas systems, privately held utilities, and master meter operators. His background includes positions with such companies as Atlanta Gas Light Company (AGL Resources), and BP/Amoco.

Work Experience:

Southeastern Gas Engineering – Chief Engineer

Since joining SGE in 2006, Mr. Conder has been involved with more than 80 projects involving operations analysis and/or construction design for gas facilities while working with approximately 35 different clients. He has provided engineering design for new natural gas distribution systems, cast iron replacement projects, highway and developer relocation projects, transmission pipelines and interconnect metering and regulating facilities. Utilizing his extensive experience with natural gas operations, he is able to design safe and efficient natural gas system additions and modifications. As a result of his involvement, clients have been able to affect maintenance costs, inventory, employee safety and customer service.


Held the following positions: Director of Gas Operations, Director of Engineering Services, Service Center Manager, Manager of Pipeline Construction and Right-of-way Acquisition.

  • Served as a core team member for the formulation and implementation of the corporate Crisis Management Plan.
  • Awarded AGL Resources corporate Special Achievement Award for reduction of capital expenses associated with DOT mandated pipeline replacement from an annual budget of $12 million to $7.5 million.
  • Following acquisition of another utility, managed the integration of the acquisition’s gas system control room function into the corporate control room.
  • Managed a $12.5 million LNG plant expansion.


Engineered all phases of pipeline system expansion and refurbishment. As corporate engineer, duties included direct oversight of purchasing, permitting, design, and quality control of all construction project functions.


Responsible for production targets of oil and natural gas fields including repair projects for under­performing oil and gas wells.
