Professional Qualifications:

Ms. Waters has 30 years of natural gas operations and management experience. She provides
regulatory compliance services, customer information and peripheral systems consulting and
operations and systems efficiency analysis to SGE’s clients which include: municipal gas systems, privately held utilities, and master meter operators. Ms. Waters spent 25 years at AGL Resources before joining SGE.

Work Experience:


Since joining SGE in 2006, Ms. Waters has been retained by a core client group made up of municipalities, universities and master meter operators to ensure regulatory compliance in natural gas system operations. She ensures that procedures are developed and followed, employees and contractors are qualified, public awareness activities are carried out, and emergency procedures are developed and followed. Her experience also includes efficiency studies for numerous municipality gas system operators resulting in tangible cost reductions and operations improvements.


Significant positions held: Senior Vice President of Business Technology, Vice President Customer Service, Service Center Manager, Corrosion/Communications Engineer

  • Service Center Manager: Managed all customer service, operations and construction, meter reading and community activities for a service territory of more than 100,000 customers in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Corrosion and Communications Engineer: Oversaw all corrosion control efforts for the company (over a million customers throughout Georgia) and ensured associated regulatory compliance. In this position, Ms. Waters also oversaw the maintenance and expansion of the state wide two-way radio system used for operations and emergency communications.
  • Vice President Customer Service: Managed the centralization of customer service for Atlanta Gas Light Company including the construction, staffing and providing technology for two 150-200 seat call centers within a seven month period. This centralization increased the quality and standardization of service and reduced operations costs by more $5m per year.

Senior Vice President of Business Technology: Directed the implementation of all operations related technologies for AGL Resources pipeline companies. The technologies included work force management, inventory management, automated meter reading, automated dispatching and centralized customer information
